Michael K. Goldberg
I grew up in Glenview and have lived in Deerfield since 1999, with my wife Kelly (a teacher at
Bannockburn
Elementary School ) and our children Daniel and Isabella. I am an attorney, avid reader, and frequent Deerfield Library user. My hobbies include hockey, golf and attending my kid’s activities. I love to read the weekend book reviews and then drop by or call the library during the week to request the purchase of the books that I want to read. I believe that the library must remain a vibrant part of the community, and I am grateful to have the opportunity to continue to serve as a Trustee.

Sunday Mueller
My desire to serve on the board is a reflection of the importance of libraries in my own life. As a junior high student before the days of national book chains and while living in a home with a very modest bookcase, I remember feeling like my local library was a goldmine of books. So many choices! Libraries helped support my studies (and social life) through my years at the
University of
Michigan and later the
University of
Detroit . I was delighted to return to a strong local library upon moving to
Deerfield in 1986 and now use it frequently as a returning student. My advice? Get to know your librarian. They are an unsurpassed source of knowledge and recommendations. What they don't know, they can find-fast!
