Virtual Tour Instructions

When you begin the tour, you’ll start in dollhouse mode and quickly move to the entryway. To toggle between viewing modes, click the icons in the bottom left corner. To toggle back to the floor plan click on the “L” shaped floor plan icon. To toggle to the dollhouse mode click the 3D box icon. To return to exploring the 3D space, click on the person icon.

To move through the Library as if you were here in person, follow these instructions:

  1. If you have a mouse, use it to click through the space. Hover over any tag to get more information.
  2. If you are on a mobile device, tap with your thumb to advance through the space. Tap on any tag to get more information.

If you want to move quickly to another space, without “walking” through the entire Library, simply return to the floor plan and click on the location you want to visit. The virtual tour will take you right there!

As you move through the Library, you’ll see circular tags pop up. Hover your mouse over (or tap on) these tags to get more information within that particular department or collection. Some of the tags contain links. These links might take you to our catalog and a current list of materials. Other links might take you to our YouTube channel where you can watch previous programs or storytimes. Some links take you to websites, such as the Illinois Readers’ Choice Awards.

As you move through the Library, you’ll see circular tags pop up. Each department’s tag is color-coded.

Patron Services = Teal color icon

Makerspace = Green color icon

Adult Services/Media = Turquoise color icon

Library of Things = Gold color icon

Teen = Red color icon

Youth Services = Orange color icon
