It’s the final countdown for Read to the Rhythm Summer Reading Program 2015 at Deerfield Public Library! Our program officially ends this Saturday, August 8 with a family Beach Party Concert featuring Dave Rudolf. We are so excited that so many people signed up to participate in our Summer Reading Program this year, and we want to reward our readers with some great prizes! Below are all of the form submission and prize details for kids, teens, and adults.
Children:
To complete the Summer Reading Program, kids should have done some reading on at least 24 days between June 13 and August 8, indicating the days on their reading log. Kids can bring their completed reading log to Youth Services by Saturday, August 8 (see note below regarding children who indicated they will be away on August 8). There is a special table setup for Summer Reading and a STAR volunteer or staff member will initial kids’ reading logs and award them their prizes.
Children who complete the Summer Reading Program by August 8 will get (while supplies last):
- A paperback book of their choice;
- A raffle ticket; and
- A food coupon.
*Kids who chose to challenge themselves beyond the 24 days can show that they read on 39 days to earn an extra raffle ticket.
**Children who indicated they would be away on August 8 have until the end of August to finish and can still check-in after August 8 to receive a paperback book of their choice (while supplies last).
***Raffle tickets will not be given out after August 8 because raffle winners will be drawn at the end of our program on that day.
Teens:
Our Teen Summer Reading Program has been raffling off prizes all summer long! For each activity completed in their Summer Reading booklet, Teens grades 6-12 were eligible to enter into weekly raffles for tons of awesome prizes. Teens that finish all six activities in the booklet by Saturday, August 8, can enter to win a final, grand prize.
Adults:
To complete the Summer Reading Program, adults need to have read, listened to, or watched any five Library titles. Attendance at one of our Library programs for Adults can also count as ONE of the five titles. Fill out your form and return it to the Adult Services desk by Saturday, August 8. Your completed form is traded for a raffle ticket, which you can use to enter to win one of the awesome prize baskets listed below (visit Adult Services for a complete list of items in each basket). Winners will be notified individually after August 8.

Beach Retreat Basket:
