Today's Hours:
The library is open today from 9am - 9pm

The Library is Here for All of Your Studying Needs

If you’re studying for Finals, the Library has got you covered! Our annual Teen Study Lounge will be open from Saturday, January 17 through Thursday, January 22 for Teens to use to their heart’s content. Snacks and drinks will be provided, and the rooms will be set up with tables and chairs to maximize the reviewing groove. Teens, if you’re looking for a quiet and contained place to study throughout your Finals, head down to our Lower Level Meeting rooms and grab a spot!

We also have 6 study rooms available for use on our Lower Level, and 2 study rooms on the main level in our Youth Services Dept. These enclosed rooms can be checked out for a maximum of 2 hours and include whiteboards and markers for use.

Of course the Library has resources a’plenty to offer for those cramming for the big exams. I’ve highlighted two of my faves for the studying Teen, but these and many more research tools can be found on our online resources page.  The best part is, as long as you have a Deerfield Library card, any of the databases are free to use!

-Brainfuse: This new service replaced Tutor.com and offers free, live tutoring every day from 2-9pm for Kindergarten – 12th grade, in addition to ACT, SAT and College Prep subjects. Perfect for Finals prepping!

-Learning Express Library: This database is packed with practice tests for Elementary, Middle, and High School ages and covers a variety of subjects. Ebooks and step by step tutorials for each subject are also provided.
